I love drawing, telling stories and making a difference in the world. So I decided to become an illustrator so I could do all three! I help socially minded organisations turn complex ideas into engaging, inclusive visuals. From live illustration at health & education events to creative facilitation and storytelling, I translate complexity into care, bringing your ideas to life!

I’ve worked with brands such as the National Trust, Goldsmiths, UCL, The British Library and CBRE, illustrating for panels, conferences, pitch presentations, workshops and exhibitions.

I’m London based but love to travel!

How does it work?

Step 1: Prep

After we’ve sorted out a quote and a contract, I’ll do as much prep as I can to get the most out of the day! This includes, creating hero title illustration to start us off!

I’ll also ask you about logistical information, technical terminology and branding guidelines. I can even create a mood board so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Step 2: The Event

I turn up to your event and work my magic! All I need is a power source, a table and a big ol’ screen to display my work.

Illustrations can be shared throughout the day or just at the end, depending on the structure of your event and your audience.

Step 3: Deliverables

Whatever I make on the day is yours to keep!

You can even ask for edits or additions to the illustrations in the days following your event so that everything is exactly how you’d like it to be! I also offer 4k time-lapses and video editing services.

My Approach to live illustration:

A pink outline drawing of a smartphone with a stylus drawing an abstract shape on the screen.

Every event is different but I think what sets me apart from other live illustrators is that I will tell the STORY of your event. Using recurring visual motifs, themes and even the speakers themselves as characters, I’ll transform your content into engaging and humorous graphics which will stay with you attendees long after the event is over.

Here are some other things I do to get the best out of your content:

  • I use containers i.e. boxes, bubbles, arrows and callouts. This directs the eye and means the viewer knows what they’re looking at and where they’re going next.

  • I include on-screen visuals from presentations such as graphs, charts or graphics, often in a simplified form.

  • I use the speakers as a character in the illustration (with their permission)

  • When using people, I feature a diverse cast of characters, including a range of ages, races and body types. Disability representation is also important to me too!

So what makes me so special?

Good question, there are lots of talented illustrators out there but I believe I have a unique blend of academic and artistic skills which make me perfect for interpreting complex content into engaging visuals. Here are some things which set me apart?

  • A Psychology BSc and MA - this means I understand data, research and how people tick! I’m also an excellent and reflective communicator.

  • An MA in book illustration- I’m primarily a storyteller! I like to follow motifs and if possible, characters throughout my infographics.

  • 12 years of experience in SEN support and Community Arts- I’m a clear, effective communicator with lots of knowledge about accessibility and inclusivity.

Something you should know about me:

I’m passionate about Inclusivity and Accessibility!

Everyone has the write to be able to access the content presented at events and we have more knowledge than ever which allows us to make that happen! With 12 years of experience working with people with support needs, I understand how much of an impact visuals can have on individual’s ability to engage with, digest and retain information.

As put by one of my clients:

“What really makes Georgia stand out, is how perfectly she weaves in disability access needs and reasonable adjustments with the same care and creativity that she puts into her art”

So it’s all done live?

Mostly! Before the event I’ll create a title hero illustration like this! This way we start off on a good foot, plus I can check that your branding appears just the way you want it to!

If there are multiple speakers I’ll also often map out sections of the event and how they’ll flow together. This initial layout may change on the day but it gives you a rough idea of how your illustration will look!

Section 1 features an illustration of a building with the text 'ONLY CONNECT' and details about an event at the British Library on March 8, 2025. Section 2 is a blank white space with a blue arrow pointing to it. Section 3 is a large yellow-orange circle with a downward arrow pointing to a blank box labeled section 4 in light blue.

And how are the illustrations presented?

This really depends on how your day is structured, the venue and what you’d like attendees to to take away. Here are some strategies I’ve found have worked well in the past:

  • A screen which can be updated throughout the day with new illustrations or the edited infographic.

  • A presentation by me or someone else at the end of the day.

  • A video presented at the end of the day- either a timelapse of the drawings on it’s own or set to a short recording of someone talking about the main objectives of the day.

  • Printed handouts for everyone to take home on the day.

 FAQs

  • I’m based in London but will travel anywhere you’d like me to! Most travel expenses will be covered by my fee (within reason).

I can also dial in remotely to your event and illustrate it, just the same as if I was there!

  • Yes! Up until recently I have worked primary in pencil and paint, I just haven’t done this live yet. Your event could be the first!

  • Absolutely! I’ve illustrated a number of events exclusively online. I just doodle away and then send you the illustrations when you want to display them. And you don’t even need to bring me and cups of tea!

  • It really depends on the type of project. For live event illustration, a rough guide is about £200 an hour. That includes all travel expenses, prep and post-event edit time.

Non live illustration is less expensive and depends on how the images will be used and distributed.

  • Yes! If you need more than one illustrator or I’m not available I will happily signpost you to some very talented people to get in touch with.

  • Yes, absolutely, I like to get involved in all kinds of projects! Lots of folks come to me for brand work, private commissions and community arts projects. The exception is book illustration, which needs to go through my agent.

Check out my portfolio page to find out more, or if you have a project in mind, drop me an email and we can discuss how to make your idea come to life.

  • I am not an animator but I can provide you with a 4K video of my drawing process which you can set to a voiceover. If you’ve got some information to deliver verbally this can really give it a visual punch!
